Jacob 5

So Jacob 5 is about the allegory of the tame and wild olive tree. I know that it has reference to the house of Israel but I wanted to apply it to my life. I wanted to be the olive tree. Here are some insights I gained.
  • The Lord trims and prunes the olive tree and removes the unfruitful branches
    • Through trials and afflictions and weaknesses I am smoothed and polished. These things take away the rough and bad parts in my life.
  • The Lord says to the servant "Counsel me naught..."
    • The Lord's ways are not my ways. He knows what He is doing. The things that are placed in my life will help me to become a fruitful tree.
  • When it seems to be lost and He wants to throw it into the fire He prunes and nourishes it a little longer.
    • He is always hoping for me. He wants me to be great and will never give up on me. THE WORTH OF SOULS
  • The Lord of the Vineyard plucks the bad branches of the tree leaving the roots which are strong.
    • Sometimes I have to get back to the root of the Gospel. I have to go back to my basic testimony.
  • The Lord sends servants to labor in the vineyard with all their might.
    • The Lords sends angels, prophets, friends, family, etc. into my life to help me become a better person.
